Shawn

From Curiosity to Podium Finishes

Angie joined Tri Nation to prepare for her first triathlon; she intended it to be an one-off experience and peek into the world of multi-sport endurance.

What began as swim coaching to improve her technique soon turned swimming into her favourite discipline, and before long, she was training for more races than she had imagined. Tri Nation's thoughtful coaching, personalised approach, and ability to challenge her in the right ways, together with the supportive the Tri Nation community, helped her grow in both confidence and ability. Since then, she's completed multiple Singapore T100 triathlons, her first 5km Oceanman swim in 2026, and is now training to attempt her first Ironman 70.3.

Highlights:

  1. T100 Triathlon: Qualified for World Champs
  2. Oceanman Bali 2026: Finished age group 3rd place at 5km distance

Results

T100 Triathlon, Singapore - qualified for World Champs; Oceanman 2026 Bali - 2nd runner-up

Wei Qiang

Becoming Fearless

Wei Qiang took the leap into triathlon 2 years ago, despite his fear for open water swimming; swimming more than 50m from the shore was no easy feat for him.

What began as his first step to bolster his open water confidence became an unending pursuit for personal excellence. Since joining Tri Nation, Wei Qiang has since raced several sprint triathlons and recently completed 5km open water swim at the 2026 Bali Oceanman.

Today, he is training for the longer Olympic distance at next year's T100 triathlon.

Raymond

For The Love of the Game

Before getting into triathlons in 2025, Raymond had been an avid cyclist and runner but was not particularly fond of distance swimming. After having good experiences at duathlons and being inspired by some of the world's best triathletes such as Hayden Wilde and Sam Long, he thought to give it a go.

He discovered that Tri Nation's community had been very welcoming and supportive of each other's development, constantly encouraging one another to achieve new milestones and attempt new experiences. Through Tri Nation's coaching sessions, Raymond saw himself achieve multiple personal bests in his swimming, cycling and running in less than 1 year. Since his first foray into the multi-sport in 2024, he's completed several Olympic distance triathlons. He has set his sights on completing an Ironman one day.

Highlights:

  1. T100 Triathlon 2026: Olympic distance
  2. MetaSprint 2026: XL distance
  3. TriFactor 2025: first triathlon
